Uniwater Acquires Water Engineering AB – Strengthening Water Treatment & Infrastructure Expertise

Uniwater has entered into an agreement to acquire Water Engineering AB, a Swedish engineering consulting company with cutting-edge expertise in process design, planning, and project management for drinking water and wastewater treatment plants. The acquisition strengthens Uniwater’s offering in water infrastructure and water treatment and contributes to increased capacity and specialist expertise within the group.

About Water Engineering AB

Water Engineering AB is a well-established consulting company based in the Stockholm region (Mälardalen). The company is a specialist in water and wastewater and process technology and is currently working on several major projects in critical water infrastructure. The company has shown strong growth in recent years.

Founded in 2019, Water Engineering offers technical consulting services in areas such as:

  • Project planning
  • Project management
  • Technical investigations
  • Contract inspections of water and wastewater facilities

The company currently has eight employees and has built a strong reputation with both municipal and industrial customers. Water Engineering carries out projects throughout Sweden but has had a concentration of assignments in Mälardalen and northern Sweden.

The acquisition strengthens Uniwater’s offering in water treatment and contributes to increased capacity in engineering, process know-how, and project implementation. Water Engineering will continue to operate under its own name and management, with a focus on continued growth and competence development in the water and wastewater area.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
